Rozy Edwards & Dr. S
Friends and colleagues for over a decade, Rozy Edwards and Dr. Jen Smith come together to present Holdfast Botanical. Rozy specializes in Visual Communications and calls the West Coast home. Together, their shared love for the Ocean and its enduring vitality is the inspiration behind the brand. You're invited to infuse your space with the pulse of life and curiosity for the natural world these works of art evoke.
SEAWEED
Seaweed specimens for Holdfast Botanical are collected throughout the Pacific, mostly from the San Diego area and Catalina Island. Dr. Smith brings a unique approach to composing and pressing both rare and common species alike. Each piece is pressed and dried before being digitally transmuted by scanning or photographing. Original pressings fade and degrade over time due to elements like sun, heat and time. Creating a digital version captures the vibrant colors for each reproduction.
